All beams in place and ready for braces and
struts. The install sequence is reflected in the
weathering of the pine.
The truss system for each Bent was
constructed remotely and re-assembled at the
job site.
Some truss assemblies required a certain
level of persuasion. Erecting this one in-place
was especially challenging.
All hail the King(post). The skilled laborer
is using the lifty. There are 2 kingposts,
this one is located on Bent 3.
The "lifty" was a lucky Craigslist find
and key to safety on the high work.
That ridge beam is waaay up there.
One of the best putting his shoulder into the
job. The maroon hat (supervisor) was no
slouch either, "I'm good at lifting shit."
After three (short) years into the project she's
ready for some purlins, decking and a roof.
